I always wanted to be a writer. I remember years ago someone asked me what would be the one thing I wanted to do in my life, and my answer was to write a novel. Now that I have, I only want to write more.
Traveling the world to learn about new worlds and cultures not only helps us all understand we are part of a large community, it also inspires me with original ideas about other times and other people. I one wish for the world is that we could all leave our boarders to travel to other places meeting new people along the way. I believe that above all else this would help everyone understand each other.
I hope my sailboat becomes my ticket to these other worlds. As Mark Twain may or may not have said, "Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things you didn't do than by the ones you did. So throw off the bowlines, Sail away from the safe harbor. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover."
Let's see if we can't find a story in each other. And maybe I'll see you on the high seas, or in another world. Who knows what other novels lie out there waiting to be discovered...
